Course Purpose
The workplace relationship consists of employees, employers and trade unions.The purpose of this course is to provide the learner with a comprehensive understanding of employee relations and labour laws and equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage workplace relationships while ensuring compliance with legal requirements. In this course you will learn the principles, frameworks, and legal provisions that govern the employment relationship in Kenya and beyond, while also examining the complex legal environment that shapes the modern workplace

- Unionization and Collective Bargaining: Role of Trade Unions in the Workplace, Understanding Collective Bargaining Process; Collective Agreement Negotiation Strategies; Managing Labour-Management Relations.
- Employment Contracts and Agreements: Types of Employment Contracts; Elements of Valid Employment Contracts; Termination and Severance Clauses; Contractual Obligations and Breach of Contract.
